1.2.3 Equipment Inspection

When an accident happens and someone is injured or killed , the accident site and any equipment, tools, and machinery requires a prompt inspection. The inspection should be done by a competent inspector which may include a foreman or another person in charge.

An inspection report should sent to the appropriate manager as soon as the inspection is complete. The report should specifically include the condition of the equipment or site as well as the name of the person who made the report.

Any equipment, tools, or machinery that was inspected must be kept by the responsible employee until the claims department has determined what is to be done with the items.
